About The Position

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic Transportation VAN Driver to provide transportation services for patients attending outpatient programs. The driver will ensure safe and timely transportation, milieu management, and crisis intervention for adolescent and adult patients. This role requires the ability to work at all specified locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current CPR or ability to pass CPR training during initial employment period
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• No prior experience required

Nice To Haves

• One year driver experience for hospital or psychiatric services

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation for patients attending outpatient programs.
• Perform milieu management.
• Conduct crisis intervention.
• Ensure patient rights are upheld.
• Adhere to Texas driving laws.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Cooperate effectively with other staff.
• Read and write legibly.
• Effectively communicate with coworkers, patients, and administration.
• Exhibit patience and tact when interacting with patients.
• Work at all specified locations.
