About The Position
Three Rivers Behavioral Health is a 136-bed treatment facility providing behavioral health and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults through inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The Outpatient Counselor provides case management and psychotherapeutic services to adolescent and/or adult patients dealing with psychiatric and/or addiction issues. The role supports the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and helps ensure quality treatment for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent master’s degree in a recognized mental health field.
- CPI Certification; may be obtained during orientation.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is strongly preferred.
- LPC or LPCA in South Carolina is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with NARC, Admissions, the Business Office, physicians, and nursing staff.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments by interviewing patients and family members to document history and identify preliminary treatment focus areas.
- Provide group and family process-oriented therapies and conduct educational and other didactic groups for patients and family members using professional treatment modalities.
