About The Position

The region’s leading provider of integrated behavioral and primary health care is seeking an integrated outpatient clinician to work with our clients for co-occurring (Mental Health & Substance Use) services in Granite City, IL. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. This role is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience. This role is Student Loan Repayment Eligible. National Health Service Corp (NHSC) LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM - The NHSC LRP offers up to $100,000 for providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in Illinois. Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.
  • Must be willing to be trained in the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and achieve CRA certification within 3 months following training.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

  • Help consumers to regain control over their lives through self-directed recovery.
  • Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
  • Use evidence-based practices focusing on individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Link clients to community resources including DCFS, probation/parole, courts, medical care, and natural supports.
  • Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and with the community to sustain a favorable program reputation.
