About The Position

Since 1925 The Child and Family Guidance Center has been serving children and families. We provide culturally informed mental health care and complementary supports, regardless of ability to pay. The Child and Family Guidance Center is currently seeking an Outpatient Clinical Supervisor. The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor is a full-time position. This person is responsible for specific projects including but not limited to Outpatient compliance, and hiring as well as supervision of Outpatient staff and interns as assigned. They will engage and provide direct, quality clinical services to Outpatient Childcare Clinic program youth, parents/guardians in our Bridgeport facility. They will maintain timely and complete client records in accordance with all department, licensing and regulatory requirements (including the electronic health record and the EBTX systems).

Requirements

  • The position requires a licensed Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Ph.D, or license eligible with a measurable timeline for completed licensure.
  • 3-5 years clinical experience working with children, families or adolescents.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience or equivalently has demonstrated leadership as a clinician in the following capacities; Quality Assurance, Compliance, productivity, clinical training of staff or interns or management in a related human service agency
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 virus, unless eligible for a medical or religious exemption.
  • Able to work collaboratively with staff and other agencies

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaker is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Make employment decisions regarding assigned staff and interns within the scope of defined authority and following established CFGC and program guidelines
  • Train all new staff in intake procedures
  • Provide regular clinical and administrative supervision to staff as needed
  • Supervise and oversee program staff, and interns, as needed
  • Provide Intake assessments, Individual, Family and Group therapy.
  • Administer all applicable assessment tools at Intake, every 90 days and at discharge.
  • Provide Case and Crisis Management services to clients as needed.
  • Maintain all records in a timely manner (Intake, Treatment Plan, Treatment Plan Review, Discharge Summary, etc).
  • Maintain productivity required in contracts and grants, as indicated by all KPI standards.
  • Participate in weekly supervision, team meeting, and attend case conferences.
  • Provide Intakes for the Outpatient Department as needed.
  • Have a working knowledge of various EBPs (eg. TF-CBT) used by clinicians in the Outpatient Department.
  • Become certified in at least one EBP.
  • Demonstrate an increasing comprehension of the dynamics of human behavior and appropriate intervention techniques.
  • Provide training to interns and other staff members in at least one specialized area.
  • Supervise bachelor level staff members or graduate interns.
  • Collect and maintain program information to meet reporting and evaluation requirements.
