About The Position

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dynamic Outpatient Clinic Manager to join their team. This role is crucial for the day-to-day management of routine office operations, facilitating effective communication, and handling basic financial functions through clerical and administrative support. Fort Lauderdale Behavioral is a 182-bed psychiatric treatment facility in Oakland Park, Florida, serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with individualized treatment plans. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • CPR certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent.
  • Well organized.
  • Works independently.
  • Ability to provide supervision (clinical) for registered interns.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage stress appropriately.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Aware of community resources available to coordinate discharge planning/referrals.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of program and philosophy.
  • Ability to be sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and record patients' payments for services.
  • Assist patients in completing claims and other forms.
  • Effectively supervise clinic staff.
  • Maintain time & attendance records and payroll data.
  • Address HR related issues.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff.
  • Facilitate patient referral and admission to the hospital as necessary.
  • Perform special assignments/projects at the request of the CFO/CEO.
  • Show empathy when communicating financial responsibilities to patients.
  • Follow-up with insurance companies on outstanding bills.
  • Ensure Hospitals net days in accounts receivable goals are exceeded.
