About The Position

Munson Healthcare’s Behavioral Health team is offering a part-time opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP; Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to provide assessment, treatment planning, psychiatric, substance use disorder services, and care coordination for patients seen in outpatient settings, which may include outpatient and partial hospital levels of care. This position is employed by Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. The role involves providing outpatient behavioral health treatment to adults including mental health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring services via in-person and tele-health services, working in collaboration with a Psychiatrist, Substance Use Disorder Medical Director, and Psychiatry Department Chief.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing OR Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies
Board eligible/certified to practice in the State of Michigan
Psychiatric Mental Health Certification (PMHNP)
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Behavioral Health preferred

Responsibilities
