The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician assesses and intervenes with patients and their families by providing individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy using a racial justice and health equity lens. Duties also include: conducting psychosocial assessments, making a psychosocial diagnosis, planning and implementing effective treatments, evaluation, and education of the patient and family members. The position consults with, collaborates, and communicates with a wide range of disciplines within BMC and the community in the overall care of the patient. As part of their role, this person will provide dyadic behavioral health support to children and adolescents and their primary caregivers within the Department of Pediatrics. Will act as content area expert within a multi-disciplinary team for implementation of trauma informed approaches and integrated behavioral health. Will respond to clinic for other social emotional needs and conduct clinical case management as needed. This person will participate in two multidisciplinary teams (Practice of the Future and GROW), helping to develop and test innovative models of primary care and specialty care within the Department of Pediatrics.
