About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Assessment Counselor/Coordinator for our Outpatient Department! The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This position serves as the initial point of contact for patients and referral sources, performing clinical assessments to determine ongoing clinical needs. The role involves telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines the appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to finalize the disposition. If a patient is admitted to the outpatient program, the Counselor facilitates the admission process and provides essential clinical information for ongoing treatment. Requirements

Master's Degree in a related field.
3-5 years minimum experience, preferred.
LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN, preferred.
