About The Position

Schedules and completes AOD diagnostic assessments for clients referred to Renewal outpatient drug and alcohol program. This individual will make appropriate recommendations for needed level of care and coordinate referrals to ensure receipt of proper documentation and authorization pursuant to service delivery as well as ensures clients are properly orientated to the program. Other responsibilities include communicating appropriate information between client, referral sources, finance office, counselors and Case Managers to ensure that client's needs are met through the plan of care. This includes the scheduling of initial appointment with assigned AOD Counselor and follow up on all referrals. Ensure all clients are adequately funded through the authorizing of services for payment in a timely manner. This position requires an ability to maintain strict confidentiality and maintain a high degree of ethics.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of DSM Diagnostic Criteria and required assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of behavioral codes and billing procedures to include ICD 10 Codes and DSM-V.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-starting and motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technology.
  • Conducting research.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Writing skills are a prerequisite to employment.
  • Interpersonal skills are a prerequisite to employment.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and substance dependence needed for this position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience required.
  • Act 33/34 required.
