About The Position

Allina Health is seeking an outpatient psychiatrist to join their team at Hastings Clinic. This role involves practicing at the forefront of behavioral health integration, delivering psychiatric expertise within a primary care clinic setting. The psychiatrist will collaborate directly with medical providers and behavioral health clinicians to improve patient access and outcomes. The position supports a growing collaborative care model by providing psychiatric consultation, direct patient evaluation, and treatment within the outpatient clinic. The psychiatrist will work closely with primary care providers, psychologists, therapists, and care managers to identify mental health conditions early, guide treatment plans, and reduce barriers to care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry or foreign equivalency training
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire
  • Board certified or board eligible and board certified in psychiatry within two years of hire
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
  • Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Responsibilities

  • Provide adult psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing follow-up in a primary care clinic setting
  • Support early identification and management of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other common psychiatric conditions
  • Participate in the development of care pathways and quality improvement projects in integrated behavioral health
  • See adults but could also see the lifespan
