About The Position

This position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the handling of merchandise in an outlet store environment. Key duties include unloading and loading trucks, sorting merchandise for processing and sale, and managing unsold items. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating specific machinery, and potentially obtaining a forklift license. Compliance with agency policies, procedures, and safety standards is essential, along with performing other assigned job-related duties.

Requirements

• Must have dependable transportation.
• Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four-wheel carts.
• Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Basic computer skills including use of various retail related systems, understanding of basic programs (Microsoft Word), etc.
• Multi-cultural sensitivity: the ability to demonstrate a sensitivity and awareness of diversities in people and cultures.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Unloads or loads trucks at dock.
• Sorts merchandise into containers for processing and sale.
• Sorts unsold merchandise into containers for post outlet disposition.
• Maintains a clean and safe working area.
• Cleans all areas of outlet store according to provided direction.
• Operates tipper machine.
• Obtains and maintains license to operate forklift and/or walk behind stacker.
• Complies with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
