About The Position

The Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) role is responsible for ensuring the quality of outgoing products through comprehensive inspection and problem-solving. This position involves conducting 100% outgoing inspections, handling quality issues, managing inspection data, providing training on product standards, evaluating production group quality, and preparing various reports. The role requires a strong understanding of glass production processes and quality control methods, as well as the ability to work effectively with other departments to maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Over 1 year of the company's product inspection experience preferred.
  • Above technical secondary school degree, majoring in related specialty.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Knowledge of production process and quality control method of glass.
  • Knowledge of glass production process, product quality and characteristics.
  • Master glass manufacturing process.
  • Familiar with process audit and product audit.
  • Able to read parts machining drawing to inspect the glass.
  • Master related key elements of ISO/QS/VDA quality system.
  • Proficient in product safety regulations and the correct use of various measuring tools.
  • Proficient in glass inspection work instructions.
  • Relatively better planning, organization, communication and coordination ability.
  • Capable of analyzing and solving problems.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Over 1 year of the company's product inspection experience preferred.
  • Training in IATF16949 quality system knowledge.
  • Training in glass quality standard.
  • Training in SPC, QC seven tools, 5S, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outgoing inspection according to glass inspection standard and 100% checking items list.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming glass.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of shipment.
  • Record quality issues and data.
  • Participate in judging responsibility for quality problems.
  • Assist in answering quality questions from production staff.
  • Provide feedback and track quality problems.
  • Assist with quality team or related departments to analyze root causes and develop action plans for quality problems.
  • Collect, compile, and archive inspection records.
  • Analyze, report, and track quality performance.
  • Train supervisors/team leaders on Inspection Flow and Quality Standard.
  • Train associates on new products or updated standards.
  • Conduct monthly Production Group quality evaluations and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Participate in process audits based on the Control Plan, track audit problems, and assist in coordinating solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive product audits for all types of glasses based on the product audit schedule.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual product and process audit reports.
  • Prepare and submit glass inspection reports.
  • Prepare and submit glass quality problems feedback reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
