About The Position

The Outfitter Attendant will be responsible for the daily operations, set up, facilitation, education, and clean-up of Outfitting activities at Tributary, including but not limited to vehicles, rafts, drift boats, and all other equipment related to Outfitting & Recreation. Additional duties may include assistance with the Recreation Department and may include Archery, tomahawks, and rentals such as Mountain Bikes, Stand-Up Paddle Boards, etc.

Requirements

  • Previous experience or knowledge of rafting, fishing, or any outdoor recreational position.
  • Basic knowledge of and passion for outdoor activities.
  • Prior experience in a customer-centric, customer-facing position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to represent themselves in a positive and professional manner that will promote the club's features and activities.
  • Must demonstrate and be interested in creating and maintaining relationships.
  • Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
  • Having a driver’s license is a requirement of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an outfitting and or recreational position.
  • Knowledge of rowing, fly fishing, rod rigging, and flies.
  • Comfort and prior experience in a teaching-related position.
  • Prior experience in or knowledge of the area, its river and surrounding ecosystem, and history, both cultural and natural.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare rafts and Drift boats for all guided trips.
  • Ensure boats are properly stocked with requested food & Beverage.
  • Set up, stage, and check out outfitting and recreational equipment, including but not limited to fishing equipment, bikes, stand-up paddle boards, river tubes, archery, tomahawks, and assorted games etc.
  • Become knowledgeable of fly fishing, knots, flies, rivers, conditions etc.
  • Prepare all on and off-site outfitting & recreational gear and equipment as needed.
  • Check in and out rental equipment and gear to members and guests.
  • Load gear and equipment for members and guests as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and clean recreational equipment and storage area.
  • Act in a professional manner and engage in conversation with members and guests.
  • Speak intelligently and passionately about the outdoor lifestyle.
  • Speak knowledgeably about Tributary and have general knowledge of development.
  • Shuttle member vehicles on the river from put in to take out.
  • Feed pond fish.
  • Run guided fly-fishing trips for Members and Guests on Tributary ponds.
  • Transport Members and Guests to and from Teton River.
  • Assist in the facilitation of on and off-property activities and events.
  • Communicate with the Member Services team to ensure member activities and gear requests are seamless.
  • Become familiar with local adventure opportunities and area attractions.
  • Promote outdoor experiences with preferred vendors as necessary.
  • Assist various departments as needed.
