Requirements

  • Must be guest service oriented.
  • Ability to interact well with others.
  • Ability to use computer systems.
  • Must possess or have the ability to acquire some knowledge of watercraft.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of computer-based systems, including reservations and point of sale systems.
  • Must be well groomed, with nametag on at all times while working on the property.
  • Must be well-mannered, always display a helpful attitude, greet guests when encountered, show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary team member and initial point of contact for all outdoor services activities at Stonewall Resort.
  • Work at welcome gate, campground, and marina areas.
  • Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Give clear and concise directions to various locations in the resort.
  • Answer guest questions using excellent customer service skills.
  • Coordinate operation of outdoor services stations with other departments in the resort.
  • Collect the appropriate entry fee for guests entering the resort at the welcome gate.
  • Manage “bank” transactions within the guidelines of the accounting department.
  • Complete shift reports.
  • Operate reservations systems.
  • Support guest calls related to reservations.
  • Make and cancel reservations, as needed.
  • Communicate resort and park policies to guests.
  • Maintain the proper flow of traffic entering the resort at the welcome gate.
  • Clean welcome gate station, park administration building, and multipurpose building.
  • Register guests for campsites and ensure that guests are taken care of.
  • Distribute firewood to campers.
  • Deal with guest issues.
  • Report all problems to their immediate supervisor.
  • Perform minor maintenance activities in all areas, i.e., painting, plumbing.
  • Clean all park public restrooms, park administration building, and multipurpose building.
  • Thoroughly clean boats using potentially harmful chemicals to the skin (i.e., bleach).
  • Inspect property and make notations of issues within these areas.
  • Clean ashes from firepit areas upon guest check-out, ensure that campsite is clean and ready for the next guest.
  • Assist other departments as required.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Recreation Manager.
