About The Position

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor/Coordinator, performs various tasks as necessary to provide recreation services to the St. George Community. Specifically responsible for running recreation programs for ages 5-18+. During programs, the Recreation Aide supports coworkers by providing equipment for programs. Assists the Sports Site Supervisors to provide instruction for the following programs: basketball, soccer, flag football, volleyball, rugby, fundamentals, and other sporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Sports Site Supervisor to the essential needs of the programs.
• Provides customer service in person; answering questions and/or referring customers to appropriate staff members.
• Responds to public inquiries providing accurate information regarding recreation programs and services.
• Organizes, cleans, prepares and maintains recreation facilities and equipment
• Works at other City programs and special events as needed.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as needed
• Follows all city policies and procedures
