About The Position

The University Career Center is seeking Outcomes Engagement Student Assistants to help administer the First Destination Survey to recent graduates. This is a temporary, 1-month position from 9/28 to 10/29, working about 10 hours per week. The role involves conducting phone calls to recent JMU graduates to gather information about their career outcomes and accurately recording this data.

Requirements

  • Be a full-time student
  • Have availability from 5:30PM - 8:30PM Monday-Thursday and Sunday 1:00PM - 5:00PM
  • Be a clear communicator
  • Be detail oriented
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be willing to learn new skills required to complete job responsibilities
  • Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct friendly phone calls to recent JMU graduates asking about their career outcomes
  • Accurately record the information recent grads provide about their career outcome
  • Be available about 10 hours per week within the evening/weekend calling window: M-Th 5:30PM-8:30PM and Sunday 1:00PM-5:00PM
