About The Position

The Outbound Supervisor oversees all outbound shipping operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipment of goods. This role is responsible for supervising outbound associates, maintaining shipping schedules, and coordinating with internal departments to meet customer delivery expectations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), scanning equipment, and shipping software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must have excellent people management and time management skills and abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily outbound shipping operations to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure proper staffing levels for outbound shifts.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and shipping standards.
  • Collaborate with Inventory, Transportation, and Customer Service teams to coordinate timely deliveries.
  • Troubleshoot order issues, shipping errors, or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Train, mentor, and coach outbound associates; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and scanners.
  • Monitor KPIs related to accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity, and quality control.
  • Maintain documentation for shipments, including BOLs, manifests, and tracking records.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in outbound operations.
