About The Position

This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting. It also requires remembering details of products and customers’ requirements. FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, is the largest produce distributor in North America, focusing on bringing fresh food from the farmer’s field to our customers’ kitchens. FreshPoint operations span more than 30+ distribution centers in the US and Canada. We target regional and national foodservice customers in such markets as catering, healthcare, hospitality, restaurants, and schools. Requirements

Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Palletize and effectively organize finished products.
Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.
Vigilantly monitor product quality.
Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order completion.
Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.
Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
