The Manager, Outbound is responsible for directing and coordinating activities of outbound warehouse workers engaged in selecting, loading, stacking, checking and shipping foodservice and food-related products. This role is responsible for all nightshift operations, planning and monitoring ways to reduce shrink, and working with HR to develop policies and procedures to help the nightshift operate more efficiently and productively. The position also involves developing and promoting goals and objectives, maintaining communications with other departments, analyzing and identifying solutions to issues with night warehouse operations, and working with the Inventory Manager to maximize utilization of slots and cube, and optimize travel time for picks. Additionally, the Manager, Outbound oversees order selection and loading, assesses training needs, provides training to staff, evaluates employee performance, provides feedback and coaching, handles employee relations including disciplinary action, and reviews team's CMPs regularly to ensure goals are met. The role also ensures FreshPoint Safe policies and procedures are implemented and followed, and works to reduce/eliminate injuries, damage, and loss to product and equipment.
