About The Position

PBD Worldwide is a full-service third-party logistics and fulfillment company helping growing businesses simplify e-commerce fulfillment, B2B and retail distribution, warehousing, and shipping. Since 1976, we have combined efficient operations, integrated technology, and strong carrier partnerships to help our clients ship faster and scale with confidence. Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, PBD Worldwide offers a collaborative environment where accuracy, service, teamwork, and continuous improvement are valued. The eCommerce Fulfillment Outbound Lead is responsible for ensuring all direct-to-consumer, marketplace, and subscription orders ship on time, accurately, and in full compliance with client packaging standards and carrier requirements. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for outbound pack station and parcel dock coordination — owning cutoff adherence, carrier manifest close, order accuracy, packaging compliance, and mis-ship prevention across all eCommerce channels. This is an ownership role. The eCommerce Fulfillment Outbound Lead does not simply coordinate — they drive execution, escalate risks early, and hold the standard that missed cutoffs and mis-ships are unacceptable outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a distribution center, 3PL, or eCommerce fulfillment environment
  • Working knowledge of parcel carrier operations (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and manifest/scan systems
  • Familiarity with pick/pack workflows, wave management, and order accuracy standards
  • Experience with WMS order processing and shipment documentation
  • Strong organizational skills — ability to manage multiple SLA-driven order waves simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting
  • Clear, direct communicator — able to escalate issues quickly and work cross-functionally under time pressure

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Deposco WMS or similar warehouse management systems
  • Familiarity with DTC, subscription, or marketplace fulfillment (Amazon SFP, Shopify, ShipBob-style integrations)
  • Prior experience with kitting, assembly, or value-added services (VAS)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the daily outbound eCom order queue — every order with a cutoff or SLA commitment must be tracked and actioned
  • Monitor pick/pack wave progress against cutoff times and escalate at-risk orders 2–4 hours in advance
  • Coordinate with pick/pack supervisors to prioritize same-day and next-day SLA orders
  • Ensure all eCommerce orders ship complete, accurately, and to the correct destination
  • Manage daily parcel carrier manifest close (UPS, FedEx, USPS, regional carriers) — cutoffs, pickup windows, and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Serve as the primary contact for parcel carriers at the outbound dock
  • Coordinate van and trailer loading to ensure end-of-day carrier pickups are met
  • Resolve manifest errors, carrier system downtime, and late pickups before they push orders past ship date
  • Maintain packaging standards by client (poly bag vs. carton, dunnage, branded inserts, kitting requirements)
  • Ensure correct carrier and service level selection based on DIM weight, destination, and client routing rules
  • Conduct pre-ship quality spot-checks on packed orders to catch mis-picks and mislabels before dispatch
  • Maintain a packaging and compliance checklist by client, updating for seasonal or client-specific changes
  • Confirm tracking numbers generate and transmit correctly to client systems and marketplaces (Shopify, Amazon SFP/Seller Central, etc.)
  • Verify packing slips and shipping labels match order content before trailer or van departure
  • Work with the WMS (Deposco) team to resolve order discrepancies that could delay shipment or trigger a mis-ship
  • Track and log all shipping exceptions — late orders, mis-picks, wrong carrier, label errors
  • Provide weekly compliance summary to DC Manager including on-time shipment rate, order accuracy rate, and exception count by client
  • Partner with the account management team when client complaints or chargebacks are received — identify root cause and implement corrective action
  • Communicate daily with pick/pack supervisors, receiving team, and account managers to align on outbound priorities
  • Attend daily operations huddles and represent outbound fulfillment status
  • Flag capacity conflicts — when order volume spikes or staffing constraints threaten cutoff commitments — with enough lead time to course correct
