About The Position

The Outage Scheduler coordinates and develops forced, planned, and refueling outage schedules, focusing on activity, logic, resource, and constraint inputs in the scheduling tool. The Scheduler develops and maintains accurate schedules throughout planning and execution while collaborating with peer Schedulers, Specialized Team Leads, System Engineers, and Outage Specialists. The role also supports outage planning, execution, and process improvement.

Requirements

Meet one of the following education and experience pathways: bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a technical discipline with 3 years of related experience; current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 3 years of related experience; technical associate's degree with 5 years of related experience; or high school diploma/GED with 7 years of related experience.
Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, as applicable.
Pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Nice To Haves

Current or former Senior Reactor Operator license/certification.
Knowledge of the Shutdown Safety Program.
Knowledge of Critical Path scheduling methods.
Scheduling/P-6 experience.
Experience as a first-line supervisor directing and managing the work of multiple crafts.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed, accurate, and usable schedules and reports.
Develop work windows and assist in creating contingency plans in collaboration with Leads, Engineers, and Planners.
Facilitate scheduling meetings for pre-planning, schedule implementation, and schedule critique.
Ensure open communication among departments, Specialized Teams, and System Engineers.
Identify and implement enhancements to outage development and execution processes.
Perform other duties as directed by management or company policy, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and supporting outage activities in positions outside the department.
