The Outage Manager II (PM-II) has single point accountability for assigned outages in Carolinas Dispatchable Generation (CDG). This role is responsible for managing, or assisting in managing, all phases of outage planning and execution to ensure all outage excellence success factors are met, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, NERC compliance, and integration for successful completion. This position typically handles Major scored Outages (ST/STG Majors, HGPIs, Major Upgrades, Generator Replacements, Significant BOP scopes, etc.) as defined by the RRE Outage Management Guideline, but may also support other identified GMS Outages based on scope and complexity. These Major Outages have a combined scope cost typically between $5M and $100M with moderate to high risk and complexity, potentially impacting the facility, department, or senior management levels within the Company, as well as external agencies. The Outage Manager acts as the unifying agent, providing leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of the overall Major Outage scope in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards, systems, and requirements. This is a leadership position requiring minimum qualifications to be met. Progression to this level is based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, aligning with business unit personnel needs to manage the portfolio. These two OM II positions are within the RRE CDG Services Outage and Projects Support organization, reporting to Randell Carter. Location is flexible among Mt Holly - NC (Lark Facility), Cliffside (Rogers Energy) Station Complex, Charlotte - NC (DE Plaza), Belews Creek Steam Station, or Greensboro NC, with a focus on servicing the entire CDG organization's needs.
