The Globe and Mail is seeking an enterprising journalist as our next Ottawa bureau chief. This is a leadership role for a seasoned reporter with a proven ability to break news, deliver high-impact exclusives, and set the political agenda. The successful candidate will combine sharp instincts with an endless drive to get scoops and hold those in power to account. Reporting to the editor-in-chief and working with the politics editor, the bureau chief will strategize coverage in Ottawa and collaborate with beats across the newsroom on how best to tell those stories. In all of your work, you will be motivated by a central question: Is the government working for Canadians?
