About The Position

The OTR Sales and Training Specialist is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within an assigned territory and/or product category. This role focuses on developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities to achieve growth targets. Specialized Opportunities: Agricultural (AG), Truck & Bus Radial (TBR), White Van (FP), Over-the-Road (OTR), Industrial, Retreads, Government. This position is eligible for quarterly and annual bonuses.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales or account management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve 10% year-over-year (YOY) growth on gross sales for the top specialized customers, as assigned by the Director of Sales. Track performance using the TME territory feature in AR reporting. Newly signed customers may be added with Director approval.
  • Meet or exceed assigned Specialized Sales Category budget for 2026 (Ag, OTR, Industrial).
  • Develop and maintain a target list of specialized customers with potential spend exceeding $50,000. Include customer name, assigned salesperson, opportunity size, and needs analysis. Conduct monthly reviews with the Director or VP of Sales.
  • Track prospective customers in collaboration with Director of Sales / VP of Sales and document opportunity details.
  • Identify and pursue market growth opportunities, particularly in the assigned specialist sales category.
  • Meet monthly with the Director and VP of Sales to review opportunities, track progress, and adjust strategies.
  • Support customer acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Provide a needs analysis to leadership for strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development Managers to drive sales of new and existing customers.
  • Assess team training needs and customer service requirements to improve performance.
  • Learn and leverage internal/external sales programs and train staff on programs, spiffs, and promotions.
  • Contribute to tires, wheels, and related product inventory planning to maximize sales.
  • Align specialized category strategies with broader RSM and CDM initiatives.
  • Partner with Market Managers to support sales and operational needs of stores.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on sales performance, bonus achievement, and development plans.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (CPM, CPH, revenue, inventory).
  • Submit expense reports on time.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Work target accounts consistently, closing at least 1 target account per month.
  • Maintain consistent reporting for target account activity.
  • Keep an accurate Outlook Calendar and share updates with management.
  • Follow up on all manager-approved target accounts consistently.
