The role involves servicing all tire needs for existing customers, ensuring awareness of industry best practices. Responsibilities include mounting, dismounting, and repairing tires for OTR/Earthmover, Mining, support vehicles, commercial, and light-duty vehicles. The position operates on a 2-week on and 2-week off schedule, with housing provided.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL license and Insurable Driving Record
  • 3 years of tire industry related experience
  • MSHA Certified
  • Must have operated a service truck with boom for at least 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • TIA Basic Auto 200, TIA CST level 300 within the first year of employment
  • TIA Certified Earthmover
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and diagnoses service and tire problems on customer vehicles.
  • Communicates necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts, recommends additional preventative services.
  • Provides excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, immediate follow-up and resolving issues.
  • Completes service orders, work orders and all other required paperwork, turning them in daily at the end of the shift.
  • Operates air compressor, impact gun and other various machines and tools.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, and ensures vehicle registration, insurance, safety and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date.
  • Performs pre-shift and post-shift inspections on all company vehicles.
  • Mounts and dismounts tires, performs air pressure checks and repairs.
  • Determines repairable tire conditions and makes such repairs.
  • Maintains knowledge of product and service.
  • Shows up in a clean company-provided uniform at the start of every shift.
  • Performs fleet inspections and provides excellent inspection and survey forms.
  • Reviews work orders and discusses them with supervisors.
  • Uses systems to properly document any survey or tire issue.
  • Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements.
  • Maintains equipment to required standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirements.
  • Meets or exceeds management's productivity goals.
  • Trains and assists others at the store to safely perform tire changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
