About The Position

Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for an OTR CDL Driver at our manufacturing facilities located in Northern Indiana area. Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Requirements

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL Required.
• 1 year experience, including manual.
• Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of applicable truck જોઈએ and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, route from Albion, IN to Shawnee, OK, twice a week.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Be able to drive long distances.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
