About The Position

This position is responsible to safely operate a tractor-trailer semi-truck to deliver finished goods to customers and pick up components or materials from suppliers.

Requirements

• high school diploma or equivalent
• Class A CDL license with airbrakes with 1 year of tractor trailer/CDL driving experience required
• Knowledge of the applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations and requirements
• Ability to read and interpret business documents such as BOLs, packing slips, DOT instructions, scale tickets, and route instructions
• Ability to write and respond to email correspondence for load details
• Ability to speak effectively and communicate with various individuals both inside and outside of company
• Must have valid driver's license and Class A CDL license with air-brake endorsement
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• May need to travel 100% of the time

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with an ELD/GPS equipment and software preferred
• Microsoft Outlook experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid driver and Class A CDL License and follow DOT licensing and certifications.
• Maintain a clean MVR to allow insurability for a commercial vehicle.
• Operate a tractor-trailer semi-truck safely in all driving conditions.
• Obey and follow all traffic laws, DOT and FMCSA regulations at all times.
• Utilize Motive software to log trip information following hours of service regulations.
• Utilize Motive software to enter pre-trip vehicle inspections noting any vehicle defects.
• Complete annual training for drivers using Fleetworthy/Carrier’s edge software.
• Operate a rolling tarp system on a flatbed trailer.
• Utilize straps/winches to properly secure cargo.
• Transport company product to job sites with the US.
• Transport, pickup, and delivery of parts and equipment as needed within the US.
• Safely maneuver truck/trailer into loading and unloading positions.
• May be required to load/unload cargo from flatbed trailer by hand or utilizing a fork truck.
• Comply with all safe work practices, procedures, processes, and regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned.
