About The Position

Valle Vista Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Therapist - Opioid Treatment Center (OTP) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! Since 1983, Valle Vista Health System, a 132 bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care to the community. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders. We provide care to adults, and to patients as young as age five. Our programs include inpatient, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment for adults, and residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents. These programs are designed to help adults, children and teens learn the necessary skills to regain confidence, heal and successfully function at home, work, school and in their communities. The Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Therapist is responsible for providing counseling, educational, and referral services to enrolled patients and their families as defined by OTP protocols. Counseling services include individual, group, and family counseling. The OTP Therapist completes individual psychosocial assessments and assigns treatment objectives and goals accordingly. The OTP Therapist works closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to enrolled patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Certified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) II, Certified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) IV, Indiana Certified Addiction Counselor (ICAC) I, Indiana Certified Addiction Counselor (ICAC) II, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist (MATS), Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC) I, National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC) II, National Certified Adolescent Addictions Counselor (NCAAC).
  • Monday-Friday, 5:30am-1:30pm.
  • One floating weekend per month is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Previous knowledge and experience working with individuals with chemical dependency issues.
  • Direct experience in family, individual and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.

Responsibilities

  • Providing counseling, educational, and referral services to enrolled patients and their families as defined by OTP protocols.
  • Conducting individual, group, and family counseling.
  • Completing individual psychosocial assessments.
  • Assigning treatment objectives and goals accordingly.
  • Working closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to enrolled patients.
