About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens physician position in Otolaryngology (ENT) at an inpatient facility in Turlock, CA. The coverage period is from August 5-10, 2026, with a clinical shift schedule of 8a-5p and on-call coverage on weekends (7a-7a) via beeper with a 15-20 minute response time. This role is for supplemental coverage and will involve providing clinical and surgical otolaryngology care for adult patients (18+). Responsibilities include managing on-call duties, performing various ENT surgeries, rounding on patients, handling admissions, and documenting in EMR systems (Athena and Cerner).
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) in Otolaryngology
- Licensed in CA
- BLS certification
- Must have 50 case logs in the past 24 months
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and surgical otolaryngology care for adult patients in an inpatient setting
- Manage on-call coverage for assigned and unassigned patients, responding within 15-20 minutes
- Perform required endoscopic procedures, tracheotomies, thyroidectomies, and other ENT surgeries
- Round on patients (both assigned and unassigned) and handle admissions as needed
- Document in EMR systems (Athena and Cerner) and adhere to hospital protocols
