About The Position
The Occupational Therapy Student Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments and assists therapists in performing treatment under his/her supervision. This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an OT program.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Patient care related experience strongly preferred.
- BLS, CPR Certification Required through the AHA.
Responsibilities
- Helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments.
- Assists therapists in performing treatment under his/her supervision.
- Provides service to pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly populations.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
