About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Student Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments and assists therapists in performing treatment under his/her supervision. This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an OT program.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Patient care related experience strongly preferred.
  • BLS, CPR Certification Required through the AHA.

Responsibilities

  • Helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments.
  • Assists therapists in performing treatment under his/her supervision.
  • Provides service to pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly populations.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
