About The Position

The OSSID Operator is responsible for performing machine changeovers, adjustments, and basic general and preventive maintenance on on-site company equipment, machines, and the building. This role requires the ability to make repairs as needed and frequent communication with management. The operator must adhere to all safety policies and procedures and encourage positive employee relations in a multi-language environment. Flexibility to work weekends or as needed is also required.

Requirements

• Demonstrate entry-level knowledge of repair and maintenance skills including greasing, changing bearings and seals.
• Ability to replace chains and sprockets.
• Ability to assist mechanics with other types of repairs.
• Possess problem-solving skills to solve plant maintenance problems.
• Provide management staff with regular updates on completion status on open jobs.
• Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication is required.
• Ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices.
• Ability to deal with variant temperatures both hot and cold.

Nice To Haves

• Previous ossid experience preferred.
• 2 years of poultry experience preferred.

Responsibilities
