About The Position

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) implemented a new browser-based Medicaid information system in April 2023 called PRISM (Provider Reimbursement Information for Medicaid). PRISM supports various Medicaid processes. DHHS will be responsible for maintaining and updating PRISM training content. The Training Specialist, along with the Training Manager, will update existing PRISM training content, create new PRISM training material, and develop training for other division projects. This role involves updating eLearning modules, storyboards, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), developing new training using ADDIE principles, providing weekly work plan updates, testing the PRISM system, coordinating with testers and business analysts on system issues, publishing and maintaining eLearning modules in the SABA learning management system, utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Suite for document creation, using SharePoint as a document repository, and reading design documentation to understand system functionality. Periods of needed overtime work should be planned for.

Responsibilities

  • Update eLearning modules, storyboards, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop new training using ADDIE principles to support the Division of Integrated Healthcare (DIH).
  • Give weekly updates on work plan tasks using status reports and progress tracking software.
  • Test the functionality of the State of Utah's Medicaid Management Information System (PRISM).
  • Coordinate with PRISM Testers and PRISM Business Analysts about system functionality issues.
  • Publish, Upload and maintain eLearning modules into the SABA learning management system.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms in document and report creation.
  • Use Microsoft SharePoint as a document repository and an end-user library of material.
  • Read design documentation to understand system functionality.
  • Plan for periods of needed overtime work.
