About The Position

Startech Networks is seeking an OSP Field Engineer in the Missouri Area with US Work Authorization. We're seeking a local candidate with extensive OSP Engineering experience. They must have extensive design & field work experience for FTTH & FTTB. AT&T Engineering experience is a must. We require expertise in ARAMIS & other AT&T tools. The candidate should be able to understand and perform scoping of OSP-related projects. They should have good customer, vendor, and project management skills and be able to communicate effectively over the phone, via email, and in person. The role involves designing, provisioning, and documenting outside plant fiber optic cable (UG, Aerial, and Buried), and understanding manhole and conduit design. The ability to read and understand work prints from various drafting systems, such as AutoCAD and ARAMIS, is essential. The candidate must be able to take field notes following OSP Design Principles, and having the ability to transfer those notes into a KMZ file is a plus. Google Earth is also a plus. Understanding pole loading and ROW permit needs is required. Understanding FTTx and AT&T GPON design is a plus. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. Flexibility for short business trips if needed, and a flexible schedule as work, although very infrequently, sometimes requires weekend work, is necessary. The ability to maintain efficient working timelines while multitasking several different projects at one time is important. The candidate must be organized and capable of tracking work due dates and expectations.

Requirements

  • US Work Authorization
