About The Position
Dignity Health Medical Group – Merced, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking an experienced and team-oriented Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to join our busy Orthopedics Program in Merced, California. This role offers the opportunity to practice where collaboration meets compassion and every patient story matters. The position involves assisting surgically in a broad range of Orthopedic surgeries in both inpatient and outpatient operating rooms, a blend of clinic-based patient care and surgical first assist responsibilities, and participation in pre- and post-operative care and follow-up visits. It is a collaborative, team-based environment with strong mentorship and support, affiliated with Mercy Medical Center, Merced.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of Orthopedic Surgery experience required
- A valid and unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
- Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare)
- Completion of state mandated educational courses
Responsibilities
- Assist surgically in a broad range of Orthopedic surgeries (Inpatient AND Outpatient OR)
- Blend of clinic-based patient care and surgical first assist responsibilities
- Participate in pre- and post-operative care and follow-up visits
