About The Position
SAMGI is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a collaborative trauma program in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role involves 24-hour block scheduling, a structured coverage model, and a surgical team focused on consistency and sustainability within a high-acuity trauma program. The position is full-time, with 183 shifts annually, and features 7-day block scheduling with built-in recovery time. SAMGI provides operational support, including billing, credentialing, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pelvic and acetabular fracture management preferred
Responsibilities
- Operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
- Complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
- Trauma call coverage at a high-acuity trauma center
- Perioperative management and post-operative follow-up clinic
- Collaborate with trauma surgery, ICU, emergency medicine, and nursing teams
