Vancouver Clinic is hiring an on-call Orthopedic Cast Technician to support its Orthopedics team at multiple Vancouver Clinic locations. Under the direction of an orthopedic physician, the technician provides hands-on patient care, including applying, adjusting, and removing casts, splints, strappings, and traction; assisting with dressing changes and suture removal; obtaining X-rays; preparing exam rooms; and maintaining clinical supplies. The role also teaches patients how to safely care for and use casts, braces, crutches, and canes. The position is on-call with variable hours based on staffing needs. Hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate from week to week. It receives a 5% on-call differential and is not eligible for benefits. The listed work locations are Salmon Creek 2, Columbia Tech Center, and 87th Ave in Vancouver, Washington. The Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions, including vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender-affirming treatment. The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas is an essential function of all Clinic positions. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available. Offers are contingent on successful completion of background screening and immunization requirements.
