About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay is looking for a full-time orthopedic surgery NP in Panama City, Florida. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a growing practice in a beautiful community. The position involves a mix of clinic, hospital consults, and surgical first-assist. The practice is growing in a suburban community on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Requirements

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtain patient history and performs assessment.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
