About The Position

As an Orthopedic Surgeon at 77 Consultants, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions, perform surgical procedures, and develop comprehensive treatment plans that restore mobility and improve quality of life. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, and compassionate patient care within the medical practice industry.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Board certification or active board eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • Strong surgical skills and proficiency in modern orthopedic procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to ethical and professional medical standards.
  • Must be board-certified
  • Accepting new grads or experienced surgeons

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and sports injuries.
  • Perform surgical procedures such as joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries, and fracture repairs with precision and care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and diagnostic findings.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education on recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Document patient evaluations, procedures, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency orthopedic cases as needed.
  • Counsel patients on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and long-term musculoskeletal health.
  • Stay current with advances in orthopedic surgery techniques, technologies, and best practices.
