About The Position

Join Desert Care Network Primary & Specialty Care at Desert Regional Medical Center, a premier regional referral center serving the Coachella Valley. This is an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Total Joint and Hip Surgeon to step into a high-demand, established practice with immediate patient volume, advanced surgical technology, strong APP support, and access to a robust orthopedic team. Practice in one of Southern California's most desirable destinations while enjoying the resources of a large health system and the autonomy of a thriving orthopedic program. This is an employed position with Desert Care Network Primary & Specialty Care, located on the campus of Desert Regional Medical Center. The opportunity focuses on adult reconstruction, total joint replacement, and hip surgery, and is a new growth position due to increasing regional demand for orthopedic services. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a balanced practice of approximately 50% clinic and 50% surgical/operative responsibilities. It is a high-volume practice with 30-50 patient encounters per clinic day. There is shared orthopedic call of approximately 1:7, with call coverage at a Level I Trauma Center, providing exposure to a broad spectrum of orthopedic cases. Additional call compensation is available. Access to an outpatient surgery center is conveniently located within walking distance of the clinic. MAKO robotic-assisted surgical technology is utilized at affiliated hospitals to support precision joint replacement procedures. Hospital privileges are available at both Desert Regional Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital. Collaboration with a large and experienced orthopedic team is expected, consisting of orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, medical assistants, and operational support staff. Strong APP support is provided with multiple experienced physician assistants integrated into the orthopedic program. There is an immediate referral base and established patient demand throughout the rapidly growing Coachella Valley region. The ideal start date is approximately 90 days following execution of an agreement.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction, Total Joint Replacement, Hip & Knee Arthroplasty, or related specialty required.
Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
Strong commitment to quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and collaborative care.
Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Desert Regional Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated expertise in primary and revision total joint procedures.
Experience utilizing robotic-assisted technology.
