About The Position

South Sound Physical & Hand Therapy, an affiliate of IRG Physical & Hand Therapy, is seeking an Orthopedic Physical Therapist for its West Olympia clinic. This clinic is designed for therapists who prioritize clinical excellence, meaningful patient relationships, and professional growth. The role offers a true 1:1 patient care model, meaning dedicated treatment time without double-booking. The clinic is equipped to treat active adults and athletes with specialized equipment and a focus on performance. Mentorship is a core component, with access to residency-trained, board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) mentorship, a structured new graduate program, weekly case discussions, and support for OCS preparation. The clinic fosters a teaching and learning culture, ideal for clinicians who enjoy mentorship and knowledge sharing. Technology, including Prompt EMR with AI-assisted documentation, is utilized to enhance efficiency and focus on patient care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Current Physical Therapist licensure (or eligibility)
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and compliance regulations
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
  • Ability to manage a dynamic outpatient caseload while maintaining exceptional patient care and communication

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic and/or sports rehabilitation preferred
  • Residency-trained or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards
  • Support a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented clinic culture
