About The Position
Nationally recognized 345-bed tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, just north of Boston, MA. Busy orthopaedic service: trauma, arthroplasty, sports, hand, foot and ankle, and podiatry. Collaborative, resident-supported team. Epic EMR. APP-friendly.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program (AGACNP or ACNP).
- MA licensure or license-eligible.
- Current BLS or ACLS.
- A firm, reliable commitment to covering both Saturday and Sunday.
- Eager to learn.

Responsibilities
- Covering the orthopaedic floor alongside the on-call resident and attending on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Rounding out a roughly 36-hour week with one additional weekday, occasionally two (Friday or Monday tend to fit best).
- Spending weekday time on the floor, ED, OR, or clinic.
- Learning and performing ED consults and procedures (reductions, casting, laceration repair).
- Learning and performing OR first-assist procedures.
- Learning and performing clinic procedures.
