Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Orthopaedic Physician Assistant to work alongside its existing PA team and physicians in various orthopaedic subspecialties. The practice is expanding its orthopaedic urgent care services and offers opportunities to connect with patients one-on-one and contribute to a growing independent practice. The role covers work across the practice’s Pittsburgh-area offices, hospitals, and outpatient surgery centers; travel to all offices and hospitals is required. The position includes a current call rotation of 1 in 16. Physicians take first call for emergency departments and hospitals, while PAs take first call for patient calls and messages. Weekend and holiday call is paid and involves rounds and assisting with add-on cases. Weekday evening call is minimal and generally involves answering patient messages. Staffing Tri-State Ortho Urgent Care is optional but encouraged for PAs with extensive orthopaedic experience, and is paid separately.
