About The Position

Provide orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgical care to patients as a faculty/attending physician at facilities in Cabell, Putnam & Kanawha counties in West Virginia. In affiliation with Marshall University, duties include providing supervision and clinical instruction to medical students, residents, and fellows in orthopaedic hand and upper extremities surgery related areas. Participate in rounds and present at one or more Medical Grand Rounds per year. This role involves a 5% allocation of duties related to SOC Code 25-1071. Travel is required on a weekly basis (1-2 days per week) to affiliated outreach facilities in Cabell, Putnam and Kanawha counties in West Virginia. This is a Full-Time position with University Physicians & Surgeons Inc. d/b/a Marshall Health.

Requirements

  • M.D or professional equivalent degree in Medicine.
  • Completion of a 12-month fellowship program in Hand & Microsurgery or Hand Surgery.
  • West Virginia Medical License eligibility.
