About The Position

Kristo Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontist to join their team. The role involves examining patients, developing treatment plans, and preparing patients for orthodontic treatment. The Orthodontist will work closely with an orthodontic team, instructing them on necessary procedures. Key responsibilities include performing licensed procedures according to AAO Guidelines, assessing jaw development and tooth position, diagnosing and treating malocclusions, and utilizing diagnostic records such as medical/dental histories, teeth models, photos, and X-rays to create treatment plans. Familiarity with dental and imaging software and equipment is required. The position also involves designing and fabricating appliances to realign teeth and jaws, providing patients with treatment plans and cost estimates, adjusting dental appliances for optimal function, and fitting appliances to correct teeth and jaw positions. The Orthodontist will also be responsible for obtaining and maintaining provider status with third-party payors and ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping. This role requires performing duties at two locations: Kristo Orthodontics in Marinette, WI (50% of time) and Shawano Orthodontics in Shawano, WI (50% of time).

Requirements

DDS degree from an accredited dental school or foreign equivalent.
Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin.
Board eligible or Board certified in the dental specialty of orthodontics.
Must perform duties at Kristo Orthodontics, 1600 Cleveland Ave, Marinette, WI, 54143 (50% of time) and Shawano Orthodontics, 115 Alpine Ct, Shawano, WI, 54166 (50% of time).

Responsibilities

Examine patients, develop treatment plans, and prepare patients for orthodontic treatment.
Work closely with a complete orthodontic team and instruct them about necessary procedures.
Perform licensed procedures following AAO Guidelines for appropriate care.
Examine patients and assess jaw development, tooth position, and other dental-facial structures.
Examine, diagnose, and treat dental malocclusions and oral cavity irregularities.
Study diagnostic records (medical/dental histories, teeth models, photos, X-rays) to develop patient treatment plans.
Design and fabricate appliances to realign teeth and jaws for function and appearance.
Provide patients with proposed treatment plans and coordinate with financial representatives regarding cost estimates.
Adjust dental appliances to produce and maintain normal function.
Fit dental appliances to alter the position of teeth and jaws or to realign teeth.
Obtain and maintain provider status with designated third-party payors and meet their standards.
Prepare, maintain, and complete accurate dental and other records, reports, claims, and correspondence.
Perform duties at Kristo Orthodontics, Marinette, WI (50% of time) and Shawano Orthodontics, Shawano, WI (50% of time).
