About The Position
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry, is accepting nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Orthodontics. The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry seeks faculty candidates with a demonstrated record of clinical and didactic teaching in the advanced dental education program, research in patient-oriented and/or oral biological research disciplines. The candidate will spend some of their time participating in the department’s clinical and teaching missions, but the faculty member is expected to develop a research program in clinical or biological research.
Requirements
- DDS / DMD or equivalent degree
- Board certified (or board eligible) by the American Board of Orthodontics
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama
Responsibilities
- Participating in the department’s clinical and teaching missions.
- Developing a research program in clinical or biological research.
- Acquiring external research funding over time.
- Demonstrating a strong background in program administration, teaching, and creativity in research and scholarship.
