About The Position

The Orthodontic Clinician I delivers a positive clinical experience for patients while following company policies and applicable state dental laws, rules, and regulations. The role works under the direction and close supervision of an Orthodontist and supports orthodontic care, laboratory procedures, patient education, remote monitoring, and clinical-area preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to set priorities regarding patient care, manage full schedules, and multitask.

Nice To Haves

• Some dental or orthodontic industry experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by the state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by the state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by the state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under the close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under the close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review the remote monitoring dashboard, including reviewing and triaging patient scans, responding to direct patient messages, and triaging notifications.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and the operatory according to standard protocols.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
