About The Position
Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant to support orthodontists and provide patients with a seamless, personalized experience. The assistant will help deliver high-end orthodontic care, build connections with patients, and provide orthodontic care instructions. The practice is an established pediatric dental and orthodontic practice in Scottsdale that has served the Valley for over 40 years. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- DANB x-ray certification or be in the process of becoming certified.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping young patients have positive dental experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive energy, a team-oriented approach, commitment, strong communication, and coachability.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a dental assistant program.
- Experience working in an orthodontic setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient appointments.
- Fit bands for appliances, place arch wires, bond brackets, place fixed retainers, and take impressions and digital scans using iTero.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions.
- Build relationships with patients.
