About The Position

Smart Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a dedicated, skilled Part Time Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental care and help create positive, comfortable experiences for children and families. The role involves assisting the dentist during procedures and patient visits, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays and impressions, maintaining records, and educating patients and parents. Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, including its core values and any additional responsibilities as defined. Requirements

Previous dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric experience is a plus.
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and patient visits.
Prepare and break down treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to protocol.
Take dental X-rays and impressions, and assist with charting and record keeping.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Help children feel comfortable, supported, and at ease throughout their visit.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
