Part Time Orthodontic Assistant at Wood Orthodontics
About The Position
We’re a fun, high-energy, fast-paced orthodontic practice looking for a dependable and motivated part time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! If you’re someone who enjoys staying busy, working with patients, taking initiative, and being part of a supportive team, we’d love to meet you. This position is 3 days per week and is a great opportunity for an experienced assistant who thrives in a team-oriented environment and loves making a difference in patients’ smiles! Due to the demands of our office, 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience is required. We are looking for a reliable, energetic individual who enjoys a fast-paced workday, has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The ideal candidate is a team player who is also self-motivated and able to anticipate next steps without constant direction, and possesses a positive, professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of chairside orthodontic assisting experience
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- Must be punctual, dependable, and able to follow office protocols
- Quick learner who is adaptable to change and feedback
- Must be able to keep up with the demands of a high-volume office
Responsibilities
- Remove and place arch wires
- Prepare teeth for bonding and band molars
- Place and remove appliances, including lingual retainers, expanders, etc.
- Take digital scans (iTero) and CBCT scans (iCat)
- Deliver aligners and bond attachments
- Take accurate impressions and pour up models
- Accurately chart using Dolphin software
