About The Position
Wood Orthodontics is seeking a dependable and motivated part-time Orthodontic Assistant to join their fun, high-energy, fast-paced orthodontic practice. This position is for 3 days per week and is ideal for an experienced assistant who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys making a difference in patients' smiles. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and can work efficiently under pressure. They should also be a team player who is self-motivated and possesses a positive, professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of chairside orthodontic assisting experience
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- Must be punctual, dependable, and able to follow office protocols
- Quick learner who is adaptable to change and feedback
- Must be able to keep up with the demands of a high-volume office
Responsibilities
- Remove and place arch wires
- Prepare teeth for bonding and band molars
- Place and remove appliances, including lingual retainers, expanders, etc.
- Take digital scans (iTero) and CBCT scans (iCat)
- Deliver aligners and bond attachments
- Take accurate impressions and pour up models
- Accurately chart using Dolphin software
